The Making of Breedlove Farms Estates & Land

After a successful career in the healthcare/medical device market, Julie made a decision to combine her love for horses and farms with her strong marketing and sales experience. Basic to that decision was her desire to spend more time around animals. Having just spent several years searching for equestrian property, she concluded that there was a significant need for her experience and knowledge in the real estate market. That was in the fall of 2008. So while the rest of the country was reeling from the housing market bust, Julie entered the real estate industry in pursuit of a niche market, horse farms. The US housing bubble affected over half of the US states. Housing prices peaked in early 2006, started to decline in 2006 and 2007, and reached new lows in 2012. On December 30, 2008, Case-Shiller home price index reported its largest price drop in its history. The credit crisis resulting from the bursting of the housing bubble is widely recognized to be the primary cause of the 2007-2009 recession.

In spite of the economy, Julie plunged forward making inroads and building a strong positive reputation. Her knowledge of all things horse, and her strong work ethic quickly made her the “go to” person for farms. In 2011 she joined Keller-Williams and by that time had made significant investments in her business. In 2011 Julie closed over $7 million, was Individual Sales Agent of the Year in her market and never looked back. Since then Julie and subsequently the Breedlove Farms, Estates and Land Team has exceeded $20 million in closings each year with nearly $28 million in 2015.

Along the way Julie developed invaluable relationships in all aspects of the business. These contacts all share Julie’s commitment to customer service and ethical business practices.  Early on, Joannie Lynch joined the business; with a strong real estate background Joannie immediately made an impact. Her attention to detail, interpersonal skills, warm-spirited nature and love for animals make her a natural and she continues to manage the office functions with ease.

In case you haven’t noticed, animals are an important part of the Breedlove Farms, Estates and Land Team fabric. That connection was one of the factors that brought Jo Zarnoch to the Team in 2012. An avid animal rights advocate, with a highly successful real estate background, Jo is a perfect compliment. In addition to their deep abiding love for animals, these three ladies share several things; outstanding work ethic, strong customer service IQ, uncompromising business and personal ethics, and complete knowledge of the market. They also have the same operating speeds, fast and faster.

So one could speculate that Julie, and subsequently the Team, are successful because of a niche market focus. That is certainly a factor, but more likely other characteristics are the primary basis of that success. Julie made a risky decision in 2008 and built a successful enterprise on basics that she, Joannie and Jo share. Those characteristics set them apart and is contrary to the face of the real estate industry.
